Headless Factoring
Headless factoring is a factoring operation in which the engine, the verification, funding, reconciliation, and collections logic, is separated from the user interface and exposed as programmable services. The lender keeps its own front end and systems and calls the factoring functions through an API, rather than working inside one closed application.
Why factors adopt it
A headless approach suits factors that already run a system of record and need modern automation on top, and platforms that want to offer factoring inside their own product. Because the functions are API-driven, a factor automates one workflow at a time and keeps its own borrower experience. It overlaps with embedded lending.
Why it matters
Headless factoring is how a lender gets operating leverage without a platform migration. Zolvo provides API factoring software, a headless, API-first automation layer for factoring; see API factoring software and headless automation.
